Review: Avado Sensitives Certified Organic Face Cream

I got this facial moisturizer when I was looking for good face moisturizers – Avado Sensitives Certified Organic Face Cream because it was

  1. organic
  2. good ingredient list
  3. on sale and not too expensive

What they say: Using Certified Organic ingredients and enriched with Avocado Oil, Avado Sensitives face moisturiser offers powerful skin hydrators in one unique blend formulated specifically for sensitive and dry skin.

Ingredients: certified organic chamomile extract, certified organic calendula extract, certified organic sunflower oil, cetearyl olivate (plant derived), sorbitan olivate (plant derived), glyceryl monostearate (plant derived), orange extract (natural preservative), certified organic avocado oil, certified organic guar gum, certified organic jojoba oil, certified organic mandarin essential oil, certified organic wheatgerm oil, certified organic evening primrose oil, certified organic roman chamomile essential oil, certified organic ylang ylang essential oil, certified organic lavender oil.

I do not find anything I do not like in the ingredients list.

Packaging: Normal, nothing out of place but unsuitable container. Why? Read on…

Texture: As the moisturizer came in a tube like in the picture, when I wanted to use it the first time, I expected a thick creamy thing to be squeezed out but a runny liquid gushed out! That kind of container is not for runny liquids. So taking some moisturizer is pretty difficult out of that tube. Otherwise texture seems okay, more liquid than thick like a cream. It is white in colour, in case you want to know.

I am glad to note that people have complained about this on their Facebook page and they seem to have taken note and have said that they will work on it.

Smell:  Not that great. I cannot describe it though. Something like oil has been added which is the case.

Overall: 2.75/5

  1. Unsuitable packaging.
  2. Smell not too great.
  3. Good for dry skin though, and I use it a body moisturizer now.
  4. Good price wise
  5. They do not ship to Singapore.
  6. Good ingredients.
